Collaboration and Innovation in Action
The STUNNED consortium convened for its M13 General Assembly on 26–27 November 2025 in Murcia, Spain, hosted by our partner Voltiva Energy. This meeting was a key milestone for the project, providing an opportunity to review progress, align strategies, and strengthen collaboration among partners.
Two Days of Constructive Exchange
The agenda was packed with updates and discussions across all work packages:
- System Architecture & Design (WP1) – Reviewing concepts and corrective actions.
- Orchestrated Operation of Buildings and Energy Systems (WP2) – Planning for optimal flexibility.
- Energy Management Platform Development (WP3) – Testing and next steps.
- Demonstration Activities (WP4) – Advancing towards TRL8.
- Strategic Blueprint for Communication and Exploitation (WP6) – Driving impact and business development.
Workshops focused on the Italian, Spanish, and French demonstrators, addressing device installation status, data collection, and next actions. These sessions provided valuable insights and ensured alignment for the next six months.
Highlight: Visit to New Concisa Headquarters
A standout moment was the visit to New Concisa’s factory, where partners explored how photovoltaic (PV) installations are being used as flexibility assets. The site produces a significant amount of its own energy—critical for cooling operations during Murcia’s hot summers. This real-world example showcased how innovation and sustainability can work together to meet today’s energy challenges.
Engaging Discussions and Next Steps
Beyond technical updates, the meeting fostered fruitful cooperation and engaging discussions on how to transform pilot projects into market-ready solutions. Voltiva Energy shared its experience of participating in over 20 EU-funded projects, demonstrating how Horizon Europe programs can accelerate growth and competitiveness in the energy sector.
Looking Ahead
The consortium defined clear goals and actions for the next six months, including preparations for the next General Assembly in seven months. With strong collaboration and shared commitment, STUNNED continues to pave the way for smarter, more flexible energy systems across Europe.
